Asian Holidays Everest Rongbuk Glacier Trek in Tibet
This is an outstanding trek through the alpine Kharta
valley to the "Hidden face" of Everest. Travelling from
the forbidden city of Lhasa across the mystical land of
Tibet to Everest Base Camp on the Rangbuk glacier and on
to Kathmandu, this is a challenging trip suitable for
those in excellent health with an adventurous spirit.
Take a spectacular mountain flight and cross the
Himalayan chain very close to the Everest massif, to the
fabled city of Lhasa where we spend 2-3 days
acclimatising and exploring Lhasa, "Roof of the World."
Our onward journey to Everest-Rongbuk is dramatically
long and arduous, gaining important acclimatisation.
Exploring the Rongbuk region and
Everest base camp, we drive back to the exit point,
Zhangmu (Nepal - Tibet border).
