HIGHLIGHTS OF BHUTAN 8 DAY TRIP - TOUR
This trip is as for our
Enter the Dragon tour with the addition of a journey
from Thimphu to Punakha—the old capital of Bhutan and
where the Je Khenpo(spiritual leader of Bhutan) still
resides. From Thimphu you head north - east to cross the
Dochu La pass which offers wonderful views of the many
unnamed and unclimbed peaks of the Bhutan Himalaya. Then
you descend to Punakha, a small, quite town which is
much warmer then Thimphu since it is at only 1300
meters. You will visit the old Dzong then have time to
wander around and soak up the sight in this pristine
pocket of old Bhutan. You then return to Thimphu and
Paro before flying to Kathmandu.

Day 04: Drive to Punakha
